The model: TechHaulers builds, funds, and operates a full circular economy system This system, run by our own internal compliance driven Operating System, provides:
- a City and County portal, which shows each resident exactly what happened to their item (reused or recycled)
- a simple online form to register for a pickup at their home or office
- $0 cost door-to-door pickups (schedule us on your schedule, from 9am to 9pm Monday-Friday)
- community drop-off events
- data-secure processing for every citizen (free)
- device reuse or resale (funds our operations)
- and domestic precious-metal recovery (helps pay the community back for its eWaste through programs geared at improving environmental quality or bringing in new green technologies)
For the first 18 months, the City/County contributes a small, fixed co-investment to underwrite marketing and Community Awareness Efforts while intake ramps up across the region. Beginning Month 19 of our contract, that fee drops to $0 and the program begins paying 10% of verified net profit back into municipal and county coffers, earmarked for futher green environmental or technological community improvements — semi-annually, every year, for as long as we continue to renew our contracts.

Our Commitment to Honest Standards
We are currently pursuing R2v3 and e-Stewards certification — the industry's highest standards for responsible electronics recycling. We do not hold these certifications yet, and we won't pretend we do.
What we do have today: a proprietary compliance platform that enforces NIST 800-88, R2, and e-Stewards standards at the process level — meaning every device is handled according to those standards, tracked, and documented from pickup to final processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost our residents anything?
No. Residential pickup is 100% free. Drop-off events are 100% free. There is never a charge to a resident for any TechHaulers service.
How is the green fund calculated?
10% of gross revenue from all materials collected in your municipality. We report it annually with full transparency — you see exactly what was collected, what it generated, and what your town's share is.
What if we already run e-waste events?
Great — we complement them. Most towns capture less than 5% of available residential eWaste through events alone. Regular bi-monthly pickup service dramatically increases diversion. We can either replace or augment your existing program.
What about HOA and residential zoning rules?
We use porch-side scheduling, not curbside — specifically to comply with residential and HOA regulations. Residents schedule a pickup window, we come to their porch, and we go. No piles of eWaste on the curb.
Where does the material get processed?
All materials are transported to our processing facility in Mohave County, Arizona. No heavy processing happens in your community — we just collect and haul. All separation is mechanical (no chemicals, no emissions). Nothing is shipped overseas.
What about data security on resident devices?
All data-bearing devices are processed following NIST 800-88 guidelines for media sanitization. Certificate of Destruction and chain-of-custody documentation is provided for every municipal pickup. This protects your residents and your municipality from data liability.
How big does our town need to be?
Our model is validated for communities of 5,000–15,000+ residents. The revenue share scales with volume — larger communities generate more material and higher green fund returns. We'll assess your population and provide a custom projection.
Can our municipal IT department use this too?
Yes — and it's free. Your town's own decommissioned servers, workstations, networking gear, and old police/communications equipment are all collected at zero cost as part of the partnership. NIST 800-88 wiping and Certificates of Destruction are included.
